I UNDERSTAND NOW!
I was so excited when my younger Christian friend Lloyd, who had been talking with my Lord Jesus and I, told me he’d come to realize who God truly was, is and always will be. That God’s a super spiritual being, who protects His children's souls every moment of our lives from Satan's grasp. Why does God protect us? Because He loves us far beyond any love our human minds could ever understand. Lloyd realized the inner voice within him has been God’s. It’s been God throughout his life telling him when he was wrong, whose been trying to teach him the right things. I told Lloyd he was right in believing God talks to us. God wants us to be commutative with Him. Why? Because God wants a relationship with us, one that develops into a personal relationship. I have found the best way to develop a personal relationship with our Father God comes from reading His word on daily basis. How? Well first before we read God’s word, we need to pray for The Holy Spirit to help us understand God’s instructions, for they guide and direct His children as they live their lives serving Him Faithfully in obedience of His will and laws. God knows their hearts truly desires to love Him. See> (Psalm 139:23) 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: … So, He sends The Holy Spirit to help us live as Jesus Christ lived. As we study the directions God wrote in His word our personal relationship begins to grow closer to Him, for God sees us striving to live our new lifestyles as Christ lived. See> (2 Timothy 3:16-17) 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works..
My final thoughts
Remember how close Paul’s relationship was with God? My guess is their relationship prospered because Paul included God in everything he did. There was nothing Paul did that didn’t include God. It was together forever. Paul loved God so much he was headstrong on living under God’s laws. See> (John 14:15) 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. … Some folks would say Paul’s personal relationship grew into one of the closest personal relationships between man and his creator, our Father God. Wow! Can you imagine how awesome that must be? “STOP” Why imagine it. If you’re not living it already, I need to tell you this. God leaves it up to our hearts if our personal relationship with Him will reach its maximum potential. It is our Father God’s will for our relationships with Him to reach their maximum level. I’ve learned the more we are committed to learning and living God’s way, the more God’s Holy Spirit can fully develop our personal relationship with God, to reach its full maximum potential. So, what does all this accomplish for a Christian? When it’s all said and done our earthly body dies, and where our spiritual beings will rest forever can only be one of two places. When our Father God sees that our hearts are only beating to love and serve Him as the true God He is, we bring our Father joy, praise and satisfaction, thus placing our spiritual beings final resting place for all eternity in Heaven. I want you folks to know, God inspired me to write this testimony this morning as He guided my memory and thoughts. It is a true story about a younger Christian friend of mine that my Lord and I have been talking with. God bless everyone this morning and remember, “we are blessed.”
Let us pray
Father God, we come this morning with our hearts desiring to learn your ways, and our bodies to be used as tools to better serve you Father God. The path we’ve traveled since we’ve known you has led us to more joy than we’ve known while living without you. We receive your love and share it among those who do not know you as their Father God. Let our thoughts and voices reflect what our Lord Jesus Christ would do if He was in our situation. We thank you Father, in your Son's Name Jesus Christ, we pray amen.
Sincerely God’s humble yet bold Christian soldier, Rev James Erick
