GIVE JESUS CHRIST A CHANCE
Ever since Smiley Joe began his new life with Jesus Christ, he noticed how some of the situations he used to find tough and hard to handle in his life, had become easier for him to do. This is because Smiley Joe puts his faith and trust in his Lord Jesus Christ. Now when things become overwhelming for Smiley Joe he trusts in his Lord’s direction, and through faith he follows Jesus’s lead, guiding him through whatever the situation was. See> (Philippians 4:13) 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. … Smiley Joe gave Jesus Christ authority over his new life with Him. He did this because with Jesus he knew he would always be going in the right direction, regardless if he agreed with Him or not. Occasionally folks would ask Smiley Joe how he is able to trust in Jesus Christ’s decisions, “enough to follow His lead.” Smiley told them he would consider himself a fool if he did not listen to a man who has gone through much worse situations and hassles than he could ever imagine going through. Smiley Joe was right to say he would be a fool not to listen to a man who endured persecution, who had been beaten down and whipped. Smiley told them he trusts in this man whose name is Jesus Christ, a man who has faced much harsher situations than we could ever imagine. Yet Jesus remained righteous throughout all these horrible things, never once shaming the glory and righteousness of His Father God.
My final thoughts
Folks, Jesus Christ can help us through our hardships and our difficult situations that we find hard to handle alone. That is why I am glad if we put our faith and trust in Him, He will help us. See> (John 14:26) 26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. … But we need to trust Jesus enough to make that first call to Him. If you have not already, I urge you to Give Jesus a chance. I pray that you do. Amen.
Let us pray
Lord Jesus we know you are listening to all of God’s people, we know you will help those of us who call out to you. We pray for those who need you this morning to have enough faith and trust in you, to call out to you. We know you will hear them and for this we are thankful. As we pray in your name Jesus Christ. Amen.
May we all walk under our Lord and Savior's guidance. Rev James Erick
