As the demand for lighting control increases, especially for LEDs, manufacturers have used color adjustment techniques in a variety of ways to meet the needs of end users.
It is often difficult for customers to decide what color LED magic light to buy. What if you can easily switch between 3000K-4000K-5000k with a simple switch? Or completely change the emitted color to blue, green or red? New technological advances in LEDs make this possible.
Currently, there are three color variations in LEDs: white tuning, warm tones and full tones. LED Magic Light introduce these three color adjustment principles
White toning in LED
White adjustment is the ability to manually adjust the color temperature of a given fixture. Also known as LED color preference. Usually there is a toggle switch on the luminaire that changes the color temperature from 2700K or 3000K to 5000K. The technology is controlled by a new, precision LED driver that independently controls color temperature and light output.
White toning is a huge benefit for distributors/manufacturers and end users. Users who are not sure what color temperature is available now don't have to worry because they can change it at will after purchase. It is a boon for manufacturers and distributors because they only need to make/stock one SKU instead of 3 or 4. Increased flexibility also helps limit time-consuming returns.
Warm dimming LED light
Created a warm LED product to mimic the incandescent dimming effect. The technology is sought after by restaurants, hotels, multi-life centers and other applications that require a light and warm dimming environment created by incandescent lights.
When the incandescent light source is turned on to full output, the filament of the bulb will gradually become brighter. The dimming process of an incandescent light naturally causes the filament to cool, changing it from white to yellow and then to red. This enticing setup has been replicated by certain LED light sources that can be dimmed to warmer colors by lowering the CCT of the LED light engine throughout the dimming curve.
Full color tuning LED
Ironically, despite its high efficiency, LEDs have always been considered to provide boring, monotonous light colors. This is no longer the case, because advances in technology can be changed to any color. Primarily for theatre situations only, there are many other calls that require full-tone calls, especially for new research into circadian rhythms that indicate that certain colors of light are more beneficial/harmful to our sleep schedule.
Warm color and color preference LED technology are based solely on white color temperature. However, full-tone design is used to provide color output anywhere within the visible spectrum. A common way to achieve this is through RGB color control, which provides any imaginable color, whether RGB or white.
There are different ways to control full color adjustment LED bulbs. Some are connected to a local area network (LAN) to provide the ability to change colors for any computer or device with the necessary software. There are also USB devices and remote controls that allow for different levels of control. This gives the user complete control over the color of a given fixture and fixture. They can be combined and changed at the same time, or they can be individually selected and changed.
Lighting technology is evolving rapidly, so as the demand for additional controls continues to grow, LED color control will have more surprises in the future.
