Me to Gary Powell: so, we are supposed to start supporting gun control, to keep more from occurring? No thanks. That is a losing strategy in the long run. Don't you realize that the left will never stop until they are the only ones with guns? If we can't convince people that the Second Amendment is about securing our rights against the government, and if we can't convince them about "shall not be infringed," we have already surrendered, and it's just a matter of time before our obviously silly arguments (as in: please let us keep suppressors, because they really don't work, anyway) lose, and we go the way of Australia and Britain, meekly and voluntarily surrendering our firearms. Again, no thanks. I say we stick to our guns, and go down in (or take them down in) a hail of bullets if necessary. If the people of this country want a tyranny, then they will have to have it over our dead bodies, and then at least we don't have to look in the mirror and say, I was the one who voluntarily gave up my and my children's freedom, forever. We can try to convince ourselves that Air of Venezuela is a refreshing fragrance.

“If you love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”
