• 95 Years Since The Assassination Of Dr. DeHaan By The Zionists
On July 2, 2019, a group of Jews went to visit the gravesite of Professor Yaakov Yisroel DeHaan, the 95th anniversary of his murder at the hands of the Zionists.

DeHaan was an important political activist who worked alongside Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld in the 1920’s to establish the Eidah Chareidis, the anti-Zionist Jewish community of the Holy Land, as an independent community not represented by the Zionists.

His many political connections, his mastery of diplomacy and his work with Arab leaders to find a haven for Jews outside of the context of Zionism posed a threat to the Zionists, and in 1924 they assassinated him.

The inscription on his gravestone reads: “Here lies the exceptional scholar and professor, Dr. Yaakov Yisroel ben Yitzchak Halevi DeHaan, who gave up a promising career and placed his life in danger to fight like a lion and a warrior, fearlessly advocating with all his heart and soul for the establishment of the Orthodox Jewish community here in Jerusalem.

He was murdered by wicked men in the prime of his youth on Monday night, 29 Sivan 5684 (June 30, 1924). He came to the Holy Land in 1919 and became an ally of G-d-fearing leaders. Through his advice and wisdom he assisted them and accomplished great things. He supported numerous charitable organizations in the Holy Land.”

Rabbi Leibel Deutsch, a heroic anti-Zionist activist from Jerusalem, led the visit and gave a short speech in honor of Dr. DeHaan:

It is written regarding Rabbi Akiva, who was killed by the Romans for teaching Torah, Only G-d knows how great his reward in the World to Come is.

R’ Yaakov Yisroel knew that his work would cost him his life
and he sacrificed his life in order to break down Zionism, the movement that wanted to erase the existence of the Jewish people.

Not only did he allow himself to be killed rather than be a Zionist, he also fought against the whole idolatry of Zionism, at the risk of his life and he fought to raise the honor of the Jewish people.

Certainly his soul now rests in a high place, a place that no eye but G-d can see. Not even the prophets had the privilege to see the eternal reward of those who are murdered for the sanctification of G-d’s name.

May G-d help that his merit should protect us, especially here, where we are suffering for more than 70 years under this heretical government, which is constantly trying to uproot the Torah, constantly fighting against G-d. We can’t see how we will ever be free of them.

We need much Heavenly mercy, to remain with our faith, we and our children.

May G-d help, in the merit of this holy martyr R’ Yaakov Yisroel ben Yitzchok Isaac Halevi, may he pray for us before G-d’s throne, that the complete redemption should come soon, the messiah should already come and we should be able to continue with the true Jewish faith and not be influenced by the nationalism of Zionism and the whole heresy associated with it.

We should hold on tight to our faith, in the merit of this holy martyr.

In conclusion, the participants chanted parts of the payers of the Jewish High Holidays:

Our Father, our King, avenge before our eyes the spilled blood of Your servants!
Our Father, our King, act for the sake of those killed because of Your holy name!
Our Father, our King, act for the sake of those slaughtered because of Your oneness!
Our Father, our King, act for the sake of those who walk through fire and water for the sanctification of Your name!
