Okay so maybe little Donnie can't buy Greenland, the latest shiny object of his cold dark dumb heart's desire, after snickering pols there and in Denmark retorted in no uncertain terms it's “open for business, but not for sale,” and what is this lunatic idiot's problem anyway?

Still, Twitter had a riotous time with this new diversion from our apocalyptic reality. So many questions, so little time before none of this is even remotely amusing: Will Mexico pay for it? Did Ivanka ask for a Greenland?

What about helping Flint and Puerto Rico instead? Does he think it's green and ripe for his inevitable golf course?

Should we rent it first to see if we like it? Maybe see if he can find it on a map before letting him buy it?

Will he fill it with brown people, sexual assault accusers, Democrats and MSNBC pundits?

Will our president, that "enormous drooling git," accept this enticing, Nigerian-Prince-flavored offer? "Honored sirs," it read. "I am PRINCE KIELSEN and I am contacting you with exciting opportunity. I recently inherited an island but need a small amount of cash. Send a money order for $600,000,000 to my account and I will give you “Greenland.”

Tough call, but faithful Twitter was there with advice: "Make sure you get the money up front." Also, "He'll just smother it in gold leaf and try to flip it to Norway," "There goes infrastructure week," and, "Let us know when you will be free to pick up the Internet you have just won."

The New Yorker's Andy Borowitz was right behind them. After the Danish government reiterated that Greenland is not for sale, he reports, they noted "during the Trump regime pretty much everything in the United States, including its government, has most definitely been for sale.”

Thus did Denmark then offer to purchase the United States "in its entirety, with the exception of its government." If its bid is accepted, Denmark adds, it has big plans: “We believe that by giving the U.S. an educational system and national health care, it could be transformed from a vast land mass into a great nation.”

Denmark! Free college tuition, healthcare, child care. Paid vacation and parental leave. Living wage, progressive taxation, the blissful characteristic hygge making all things cozy. "Sold!" proclaimed one eager patriot. "When can we expect delivery?"

From a weary, battered populace mired in our national nightmare, the grateful consensus burst forth: "Thank God."

  • Our Humanity!!
    Written by Matthew Naismith

We have a solicitor in the family that told me to stay with what I am doing. I was considering changing tact and become more tactful. Tactful meaning: Having or showing a sense of what is fitting and considerate in dealing with other people.

Expressing a sense of honest truth, which is often the opposite of desired truths, is going to be offensive to other people who are expressive of desired truths, there is no way around this. The only way around this is to stop expressing open honest truth which I nearly did on a few occasions. Often being black is offensive to white people. How do you stop being who you truly are? Also, just because you are black and this offends whites, it is not you who is being offensive, it is them. Just because other people are offended by honest truth, doesn't mean you, the black, are being offensive and tactless.

The reminds me of the times I spent on youme, especially the group called Our Humanity on youme, that allowed name calling, endorsed people not to stay on topic, therefore show deliberate disrespect, endorsed, not only robust discussions /debates but argumentative exchanges, etc. Not everyone is treated like this on youme or our humanity, only those who are of honest truth instead of desired truths it would seem. Atheists of course desire that we are all born atheistic which I disproved. I am not against atheism, but I am not supportive of radical deliberate ignorance based on desired truths. I was treated as though I was black on youme, a man of honest truth as much as I can be.

Yes, our humanity also includes desired truths. In all honesty, desired truths seem to be the main stay of our reality at present, a more preferable truth in direct opposition to honest truth it would seem. So should have I accepted such a rebuttal, not just from the moderators of our humanity but youme as a whole?

Our humanity means our humanity as a whole, not just parts of humanity that are more desirable. I was often accused by the people of desired truths that I didn't like my views being questioned; this is while I was the only one presenting evidence to my claims. Of course the more evidence I supplied, the more prevalent the unsupported accusations become, quite excessively at times. They actually had no other recourse, in their mind.

If you are expressive of honest truth in a reality primarily based on desired truths, being expressive of honest truth is going to lead to disagreements. Sadly, often these disagreements lead to a person of desired truths to turn on you, at times quite viciously. I would have to honestly say that the people who I have had a disagreement with and turned on me, are most often primarily expressive of desired truths. Why are they so offended, especially when I supplied evidence to my honest truths?

In my mind, no matter what, never stop freely expressing honest truth in our humanity, even when by doing so we have to sacrifice our own harmony for a short time.

    It is not a fight, but a right......Mathew G

  • Is there ANY worthwhile college left in America? It certainly seems not. College has become nothing more than an overly-expensive leftist indoctrination center with very few worthy career paths for kids to take up. Seems the main reason for the existence of colleges today is to keep the leftist administrators and professors in very cushy and well-paid job positions but to hell with the students and their educations to help their life's career desires . . . .

How Do CBD Gummies Compare to Other CBD Products?
Who doesn’t love candy? That’s probably the question companies were asking when they first decided to pair CBD and candy together in one harmonious marriage. With the rise of CBD, it’s only natural for edibles to follow suit. Not everyone is a fan of the grassy flavor of raw hemp oil, so gummies and edibles are a perfect way to dull down that flavor. While the delicious variety of flavors that gummies come in make them a no-brainer for some, for people with specific dietary restrictions or allergies they might not be the best choice.

    The Benefits of CBD Gummies
Buying CBD gummies and other edibles are especially helpful for people who want to have more precise control over their dosage. Each pack or bottle notes the exact amount of CBD in milligrams in each gummy or treat of your choosing, allowing the user to tailor the amount depending on the desired effect. Because they are consumed orally, CBD gummies can also produce longer lasting effects than other consumption methods like oils, CBD topicals, or vaporizers.
Even though CBD has only just found mainstream popularity in the last few years, there has been quite a bit of research done on its benefits and potential uses.

    CBD AND ANXIETY
Among the most common uses of CBD gummies is helping people better manage their anxiety. While some of the properties of THC can increase anxiety among users, CBD helps to relax the mind and body by balancing out the endocannabinoid system. Some of the benefits of using CBD gummies for anxiety include reducing panic attacks associated with clinical anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder as well as reducing symptoms of seasonal affective disorder.

    CBD AND PAIN
It can be tough to find the right solution to get rid of chronic pain without dealing with nasty side effects associated with prescription painkillers. CBD has been proven to reduce inflammation and treat some of the painful symptoms of joint pain, arthritis, and muscle spasms. It’s even being used to reduce complications associated with Crohn’s disease.

    CBD AND SLEEP
CBD can be a great solution to insomnia or restless nights. It’s a common misconception that THC makes users sleepy and lethargic. While that’s true, the THC in cannabis products actually blocks you from reaching deep REM sleep. The REM cycle helps restore your body and is what makes you feel rested the next day. Popping a CBD gummy before bed will calm your nervous system and help you reach a deeper state of REM sleep.

    GOD-SENT CHRISTIANS
“You have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body”
    (1 Corinthians 6:20)

If I were asked to determine the spiritual vitality of any religious group using only one criterion, I would evaluate its representative leaders. Are they a group of individuals vying for power, arming themselves with arguments to defend their position and exert their will? Or are they servant leaders knit together by the Holy Spirit who are collectively trying to discern God's will?

Similarly, if I wanted to determine the spiritual vitality of an individual using only one criterion, I would evaluate whether the person desires to live according to the will of God, or if he desires to do his own thing The prayer of a vital, growing Christian is, "Make me know Thy ways, O LORD; teach me Thy paths" (Psalm 25:4).

Once our will is bent in the right direction, Jesus raises the additional question of motive: "He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.” (John 7:18). The person who is true glorifies the one who sent him.

This is perfectly modelled in the Godhead. Notice first the example of Jesus: "Jesus said to them, "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me.” (John 8:42). The Holy Spirit acts in the same way. In John 16:13, 14, Jesus said, "He [the Spirit] will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak . . . He shall glorify Me."

I can take this one step further. Are you ready for this? Jesus said, "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." (John 20:21) Granted, that was said to the apostles, but we are all under the Great Commission. Do you want to be true? Then glorify the One who sent you! People who know they are God-sent and are committed to live like that, glorify God. Self-sent people seek their own glory.

Prayer: Today, Lord, I purpose to reflect my appointment as Your sent-one by glorifying You instead of myself.

    Christian Doctrine
“Watch your life and doctrine closely.” (1Timothy 4:16)

“To be or not to be” and “To thine own self be true” are some famous quotes by William Shakespeare. There are numerous quotations by him; however, he did not write quotations but plays. The previous two are from Hamlet, but if we were to take those quotations and read them from their context in Hamlet, we find a much bigger meaning than just the quotations themselves.

Similarly, some of us treat the Bible like a book of verses; we divide the Bible into bite-size pieces and often detach them. We quote verses and texts out of their biblical context. We give them a meaning that they may not have if we put them back into their context.
But we need to look at the body of truth together, which is what we call Christian doctrine. Like a finished puzzle, doctrine is a coherent body of belief, where all the pieces are fitted together.

We live in a day, of course, when information has become conveyed in sound-bite size, but we cannot sound-bite the Christian life and still be effective and satisfied in it. The problem many Christians have is often a lack of clear Christian doctrine. We have a bit over here, where we believe something and something else over there, where we believe another thing. But it is not a coherent picture.

Paul tells Timothy in his first letter, “Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers” (1Timothy 4:16). Paul tells Timothy to persevere in the doctrine, preach truth and enable people to understand the big picture. And he explains why in his second letter: “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine to suit their own desires, they will gather round them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear” (2 Timothy 4:3).

Truth is not found by consensus, where a certain number of people agreeing to something makes it true. Rather, it is found by revelation and God has revealed His truth to us. Christian doctrine is not man’s subjective ideas about God. It is God’s revelation of Himself and God’s ideas about man. Doctrine is not reserved for the theological seminary classroom but should be the bread and butter of every Christian. Our understanding and knowledge of Christian doctrine on God is essential for Christian living.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, turn my ears away from seeking to hear what I want to hear, but instead keep me steadfast on Your doctrinal truth. Help me to understand the bigger picture from Your Word. Thank You, Lord.

    OUR ACCESS TO CHRIST'S AUTHORITY
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened” (Ephesians 1:18)

Do we enjoy the same claim to Christ's authority in the spiritual realm as those who were personally sent out by Him? Absolutely! In fact, because of the death, resurrection and ascension of Christ, and the subsequent outpouring of the Holy Spirit, we have an even greater advantage in spiritual warfare than the first disciples did. They were with Christ; “He appointed twelve–designating them apostles –that they might be with him and that he might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons.” (Mark 3:14-15), but we are in Christ. That was Paul's great news in the opening lines of his letter to the church at Ephesus. Ten times in the first 13 verses he reminded us that everything we have is the result of our intimate, personal relationship with the resurrected Christ and His indwelling Spirit.

Having firmly established the reality of our position in Christ, Paul expressed his heart's desire for Spirit-filled believers in this prayer:

“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in heavenly places.” (Ephesians 1:18-20).

Our problem with identity and self-perception as Christians is not that we aren't in Christ; it's that we don't see it or perceive it; we're just not conscious of it. We are not supposed to pursue power because we already have it in Christ. We are to pursue truth and pray that our eyes will be opened to our rich inheritance in Christ.

As long as we fail to perceive our access to Christ's authority over the kingdom of darkness, we will fail to exercise that authority in our lives, and we may live in bondage.

Prayer: Open my eyes, Lord; I want to see Jesus. Open my ears and help me listen, abide in You, and draw strength moment by moment.

  • "Some powerful people make their living with the production of arms and sell them to one country for them to use against another country. The industry of death, the desire to have more money, the greed, harms us all. The economic system orbits around money and not men, women.
... Many powerful people don't want peace because they live off war."
Pope Francis, in 2015, met with pupils from Rome's primary schools
"Some powerful people make their living with the production of arms and sell them to one country for them to use against another country. The industry of death, the desire to have more money, the greed, harms us all. The economic system orbits around money and not men, women. ... Many powerful people don't want peace because they live off war." Pope Francis, in 2015, met with pupils from Rome's primary schools

  • Nativism and primitivism are the following. Most people want something Bill Gates has, that being money. For example normal people fantasise that if only Bill Gates could spare even just one million dollars for them. Because everybody wants something something Bill Gates has therefore he wins, he is everything and he is important and therefore there is inequality between everybody and him, between wanters and wanted. However, people who practice nativism and primitivism, even though they are literally nothing more than a hundredaire, tenaire or even a oneaire, they consciously do not want or desire anything Bill Gates has, therefore, he does not win and therefore there is equality between practitioners of nativism and primitivism and Bill Gates. To reiterate, everybody down here on Earth wants something Bill Gates has, therefore he wins and he is important. Therefore imagine if everybody on the planet practiced nativism and primitivism and had no desire for anything Bill Gates has, he would not win, he would not be important and he would be normal. This is exactly what happens in the afterlife, because of the fact that we do not require food in heaven and therefore we do not require money, therefore, not a single one of us in heaven desires anything Bill Gates has, therefore he does not win, he is not important and he is very normal. This is what nativism and primitivism do that being we should do on Earth as in heaven. Amen.
