  • The Christian Militia is holding the 2019 Bay Area Vetfest Fundraising drive. Bay Area Vetfest began as an idea to honor our veterans and first responders and give back to the men and women who are currently serving, have bravely served and to support the families of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. An idea that meant the City of La Porte would become home to a new community event, the founder created the Bay Area Vetfest in an effort to bring the citizens of La Porte, TX and the surrounding communities together, offer opportunities for the veterans and first responders of our community, and to provide opportunities for assistance with issues they are facing on a daily basis.
For the veterans returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, there are little to no opportunities for them to meet other veterans and share their lives with one another. Bay Area Vetfest was organized as a way of bringing awareness to these and veterans from all eras of military and/or first responder service. Being a veteran or a first responder means being an individual that possesses qualities such as independence, compassion, and integrity. They are individuals who strive to preserve his or her honor and self-respect all the while offering the same to others.
Being veterans themselves, the founders know that being a veteran, whether man or woman means "following through on one's commitments, setting goals, and achieving those goals both personally and professionally". They want to pass this on to the area youth. Our goal is to insure that the community continues to remain committed and will always support our veterans and first responders.
Bay Area Vetfest is open to everyone, veteran or non-veteran, so that we can promote awareness to the local and surrounding communities. The event is run, managed and operated by veterans both from the military and first responder communities. We have veteran owned businesses that set up at the event where they can sell their products, inter-act with the community and promote their talents and skills, and yes, will be more than happy to share their experiences with you. It is a day full of meeting great people, restoring lost camaraderie, participating in fun and exciting events, eating some wonderful food, and listening to some fantastic musical entertainment performed by veteran bands. Our vets look forward to sharing some of their life stories and successes with you. We welcome all who are interested in becoming a part of the annual Bay Area Vetfest by becoming a volunteer, sponsor, setting up a booth or just visiting the event. It is only because of the people and businesses of our communities that we are successful in providing these opportunities to our veterans of the military and first responder communities.

  • Family Matters
The Christian Family is a little church, a little government and a little society. It shapes the foundation of the church, and of society itself. Future generations depend on the leadership found in the home, and the values they receive there.
The Family is a God-ordained institution, a spiritual and organic unity that was established for the cultural mandate of 1) glorifying the Creator, and 2) subduing the earth. In this mandate (Genesis 2) the duties of the husband, wife, and children are encompassed, and the Scriptures readily set forth a theology of domestical duties. Husbands, wives and children have specific, God-honoring duties to perform in their respective stations in the carrying out of God’s redemptive plan. Their goal as a family is to 1) honor God, 2) edify Christ’s church and 3) promote Christian values in their respective positions in society. All this stems from the moral and spiritual values enumerated in the home and functioning to honor Christ Jesus. In this regard was the Puritan conception of the family or household. The family is described as a “little church”, a “seminary of the Church, a society of Christians combined for the better worshipping and serving God. The family, then, is the most important institution in society paralleling the relationship of Christ and His Church. Thus, Paul, carried by the Holy Spirit, rightly demonstrates this in Ephesians 5:22-6:9 in the manner of the duty of the husband, of the wife, of the children, and of masters and salves in the household.

The Christian Militia is a national network of small groups of families in communities throughout the nation we call our “Campfire Groups”. Through the use of small group interaction, Christian values are reinforced and families are encouraged to reach out in action to others.
The Christian Militia Campfire Group consists of members of the community meeting regularly in each other's homes. Through these gatherings, members discuss what they have observed in their own family or community, talk about what they have seen in the light of Jesus' teaching, and then act to change things for the better.
Through the application of this method, some of the Christian Militia families have become involved in helping others in such ministries as foster-parenting, prison ministry, and religious education.

  • 1 Timothy 5:8 “But if anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for members of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.”
What does this say about families in today’s America? If we were to take a good hard look at the condition of our country today, we would have to answer not a single thing. We have gone from a society that put God and family first to a culture that puts themselves first over and above everything. We have adopted the “Free Love” mentality, “if it feels good, do it.” And this type of culture is thrown in our faces constantly through radio, television, and all other forms of advertising and entertainment. Try turning on your TV at night and looking for a program that is promoting a strong Christian family. By that I mean a father and mother devoted to each other and are raising 2 or more children. Where there is no mention of divorce, transgenderism, homosexuality, or any other immoral topic. You won’t find it. This is how we and our children are being brainwashed into this reprobate culture being shoved down our throats. What makes matters worse is the fact that the churches are silent.
Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6. We aren’t training our children in a Godly lifestyle, we are allowing them to be indoctrinated into an immoral, un-Godly societal mindset that is going to be the spiritual destruction of their lives if we don’t get hold of it and start acting like parents. “Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.” Psalm 127:3-5 Yahweh our God holds the family in a very high place, why are we allowing the destruction of something so dear to Yahweh? Better yet, why aren’t we holding our families to the same standard?
The Christian Militia embraces the restoration of the Christian Family in our nation and our society. Christian Americans need to dedicate themselves to what a Godly Christian Family is all about, placing the husband and father back as the head of the household, stop encouraging the “free love” mentality, teach your children that the ways of the world regarding homosexuals, transgenderism, and sexual experimentation of any kind are not their ways. Educate them on how to maintain their finances according to scripture. Teach them to value life, to love everyone as Christ loves us, and that we should hold true to our natural family traditions and history.
It is our goal at the Christian Militia to unite all Christians, Christian groups and organizations, churches, ministries, Patriot groups and organizations, militias and all others that believe that the true Christian Family is under attack, and the only way we can stop the total decay and destruction of the Christian Family is by uniting and becoming a true Christian Militia, then and only then will we reap the rewards of battling the evil trying to take control and becoming a part of the Christian Militia’s goals and mission becoming a reality.
